Willow has been pretty sick for a week now, but she feels better when she gets out, so we set out for a drive today. After driving on the highway for a few minutes, she starts to fall asleep. After having twins, we quickly learned that if one (or dare I say both) fall asleep, you need to do everything possible to keep that child sleeping.
We started whispering instead of talking so that we wouldn’t disturb Willow, but Hailie was still chatting away in the back seat, in her usual loud toddler voice. Dave says, “Shhhh Hailie, Willow is sleeping.” At this point she usually whispers for a minute until she forgets.
Well apparently Hailie has been watching too much Wiggles, because in true Wiggles style, she yells “Wake up Willow, Wake up!” Poor Willow would open her eyes for a moment, looking startled, and then fall back asleep. This continued on for the rest of the drive.
