Hailie decided she didn’t need a nap today, so I took her to the mall to do some errands. It was our first mall trip without Willow, and without the stroller. We walked to a few places and she did pretty well. When we got to Zellers, I decided to put her into a cart. She has never really been good with the whole ‘put your legs in the holes’ part of cart-sitting, but today was the worst.
I picked Hailie up, and as soon as her legs got near their intended destination, she starting doing a little dance in the air that involved kicking her legs around. I tried three times, and three times she did the dance. A couple was giggling at the scene from a far, and the guy came over to help redirect the flailing legs. Hailie was a little taken aback by the strangers intervention, but I really appreciated it!
