One weekend, Willow and Hailie decided to switch rooms for their naps. Willow slept in Hailie’s room, and Hailie slept in Willows room. Willow had an accident, and wet Hailie’e bed. When Hailie found out she said “Willow peed in my bed and now I’m gonna be grumpy. Now you need to take Willows bed and put it my room, and throw my bed out.”
One day we were running around in the living room and Willow says “I am sweaty. I need a nap when I am in sweaty land.”
Hailie was crying the other day, and then started crying harder and gasping “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe”. I said “Why can’t you breathe?” and she replied “Because I’m crying”
Willow was playing on Grandpa’s computer, and I asked her what she was doing. She replied, “I’m just checking my schedule”.
Willow was playing with Grandpas microphone the other day, and she was making up song after song, and singing her heart out. Our favourite song of the evening was one that involved the lyrics “Hailie plays soccer” over and over again. The funny part is that it sounded a lot more like “Hailie is a fucker”.
We were at Party Packagers, and the guy behind the counter had long hair. Hailie says “Mommy, is that a girl?” Of course she asked loud enough that the guy asked me what she said!
Willow has her own language. If she doesn’t know the word, she just makes one up. Her mp3 player is her phonerator. The other day she was asking for a mexinator. I said “What is a mexintor?” She says, “You know.. pirates use it to see ships”. I said “Oh, you mean a telescope?” and she answered “Yes, a telescope. Mexinator.”
Hailie’s speech is still a little bit hard to understand at times, and often we have to use Willow as the translator. The other day, Hailie wanted “Forts”. I had no idea what she was talking about, so I asked Willow for a translation. Willow gave me an “are you completely clueless?” look, and told me Hailie was saying “Shorts”.
