Willow is really into mittens right now. It started right after the weather got nice. First she started with boots, and now has moved on to mittens. She likes to wear mittens all the time, even when she is eating or playing. The mittens get in the way, but she doesn’t seem to mind. I now have to do laundry more frequently, because we don’t have the mitten stock needed to keep up with this kids mitten needs. Eating with mittens on makes for some really messy mittens.
In a pinch, socks will do. A few days ago I put Willow down for a nap without her beloved mittens. She improvised, and used her socks instead. If socks are unavailable, shoes will do.
Honestly, I’m glad the boot phase is almost over. The boots are pink and purple, featuring Dora and Boots. They light up when she walks which I am sure is part of the attraction. The boots are a little big for her, and she’s not great at walking in them. When she runs, she looks a lot like Phoebe from friends. It really hurts when she steps on my toes with those boots though, so I am hoping to make them mysteriously disappear very soon.
